The Business Coalition for Workplace Fairness is a group of leading U.S. employers that supported the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, a federal bill that would have provided the same basic protections to LGBTQ+ workers that were already afforded to non-LGBTQ+ workers across the country.
At the time of the coalition's formation in 2007, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer employees were not protected under federal law from being fired, refused work or otherwise discriminated against. ENDA would have created those protections.
