Employees at agencies that are formally participating in ACAF should complete at least one of the webinars below that align with their role. Introduction to LGBTQ+ Inclusion

  • This webinar covers foundational information related to serving LGBTQ+ youth and families. Topics include key terminology and concepts, an overview of the barriers faced by LGBTQ+ youth and families in child welfare, and the steps all service providers can take to overcome these barriers in order to create a welcoming environment.

Best Practices for Serving LGBTQ+ Parents

  • This webinar provides an in-depth look at role-specific best practices for serving LGBTQ+ foster and adoptive parents. Topics include facts and myths around LGBTQ+ parenting, law and policy, LGBTQ+ parent recruitment, homestudies, and matching/placement.

Best Practices for Serving LGBTQ+ Youth

  • This webinar takes a closer look at the information and resources needed to achieve safety, permanency and well-being for LGBTQ+ youth in out-of-home care. Topics include research on LGBTQ+ youth experiences, the rights of LGBTQ+ youth, finding LGBTQ+ affirming placements, and tools for advocacy.

Earning Continuing Education Credits

The webinars in this track are eligible for 1.5 CEs from the National Association of Social Workers at a cost of $40 per webinar. Participants will be given access to the website for purchasing these CEs in a follow-up email after completing the post-test. Employees at agencies that are formally participating in ACAF or those with financial need are eligible for a discounted rate. Ask your agency’s ACAF leadership team for your discount code to submit at the time of payment.

Here are three easy steps to earn Continuing Education Credits with the All Children - All Families Core Curriculum Track:

  1. Participate in the webinar by either:
    1. Registering for the core webinar(s) of choice below

    2. Or watch webinars on-demand by visiting the webinar archive

  2. Complete the post-test: After participating in the webinar, you will receive a follow-up email that includes a link to a post-test. NASW requires a completed post-test with a minimum score of 80% or above to earn CEs.

  3. Submit Payment & Receive Certificate: Upon completing the post-test with a score above 80%, participants will be given access to the website for payment submission through their post-test confirmation e-mail. Upon purchase, participants will be provided with a CE certificate.
